Art and Industry
Art and Industry is a collaborative effort between Science Gallery Bengaluru and the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery. The project seeks to explore the historical industrial connections between India and Wales, and intends to allow for reflection on the many entanglements between industry, art and a community’s history and identity. The project entails both the institutions holding panel discussions involving artists and academics, with artists later being commissioned to create multimedia expressions that draw from the experiences of both regions.
This project is funded by the Connections Through Culture: India-Wales grant scheme by the British Council supported by Wales Arts International/Arts Council of Wales to develop co-created projects between artists, arts organisations and festivals in both India and Wales.
